The Butts Farm is a working, open farm, not a farm park. It is dedicated to teaching a generation that is becoming unaccustomed to animals and farming the connection between those animals and their food. It is a vital link in relating the countryside in which people live to the way in which it is kept alive.

Our educational 'Farm to Plate' visits are designed to show children of all ages where their meat comes from, how it is raised and cared for and how it ends up on their plate. The visits are tailor-made to meet the requirements of each group thereby ensuring that the children get exactly what they need to fulfil their educational needs.
